沿革HISTORY本学は,1949年に新制大学として発足以来,学術研究に力を注ぎ,1950年には産業経済研究所,1963年には中小企業経営研究所,更に1964年には経営研究所を設立させてきました。1995年のG-7でパイロット計画が立案(Global Marketplace for SMEs)されたように,近年,国際的規模で中小企業研究が活発になっていますが,当研究所は,中小企業研究の重要性を説かれた故藤田敬三博士によって早い時期に設立されました。国内外の研究機関や各界との交流等を多彩に展開しており,その活動は,高い評価を受けています。Osaka University of Economics has been putting a great deal of efforts into academic researchactivities since its reorganization as a University in 1949 under the new system of highereducation. As early as in 1950, Institute of Industrial and Economic Research was founded.Institute of Small Business Research and Institute of Business Administration are establishedin 1963 and 1964 respectively. Three institutions were amalgamated to form Institute of SmallBusiness Research and Business Administration (ISBR) in 1989.In recent years, Small Business Studies are actively carried out internationally.“GlobalMarketplace for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”, a pilot plan drawn up in G-7 in 1995,is one of many research projects recently commenced. ISBR was established in relativelyearly stage of the development of Small Business Studies. Late Dr. Keizo Fujita advocated theimportance of Small Business Studies and founded the Institute of Small Business.ISBR actively pursues academic exchanges not only with other research institutions but alsowith non-academic sector of society. Activities of ISBR are not confined to Japan. Interchangeswith overseas researchers are common in ISBR. Research activities of ISBR are appreciated bothdomestically and internationally.7
