Studying activities
“The Society for Study of Economic History”, which was held before the war, was reopened after an interval of fifty years in July 1995. The Society is held in April, June, July, October and December.
“The Society for Historical Study of Life and Idea in Japan” was organized afresh in November 2003. This Society aims at the construction of the method of the historical study of life and idea of Japan and the concrete and positive researches on the same field. The Society is held once a year.Three Symposia were held recently.
“The Rise of Social and Economic History in the 20th Century World and Dr. Iwao Kokusho” in September 2000.
“Linking Osaka and the Korean Peninsula in the 21th Century” in October 2000.
The International Symposium on the East Asian Agricultural History, “The Tradition and Change of the East Asian Methods of Agriculture―The Comparative Study of East Asian Farming Books ―”in May 2002.
The First International Conference on the Economic History of East Asia “Economic in Early Modern and Modern Age-The Interactions of China, Korea, Japan and Ryukyu”, in December 2007.
