My Classes
Japan's food self-sufficiency rate is at 40%. This means that Japanese people rely on imports for 60% of their food supply. Without trade, Japanese people cannot sustain their dietary habits. In my class, I lecture about why people engage in trade.
My Research Programs
In some developing countries, motorcycles are produced that look exactly like one produced by Honda (counterfeited). Should Japanese manufacturers ask governmental authorities concerned to control such counterfeits? Or should Japanese manufacturers concentrate their efforts in developing still more innovative products rather than demanding control? I am planning to study such matters.
