Profile of Professor Oshima, Mario

Born in 1950, became professor of the Osaka City University in 1992, author of The Social Structure of Village and Family in the Modern Times(Ochanomitsu Shobo Press, 1978) and The Peasants’ Control and Families, Communities in the Modern Times (revised and enlarged edition, Ochanomitsu Shobo Press, 1993) and editor of the Comparative History on the Scarcity of Land and the Industrious Revolution: the Modern Times in the Economic History(Minerva Shobo, 2009)
