Industry and Finance Course

Students will gain an understanding of the current situation of and issues facing the industrial and financial sectors and acquire
the skills to become excellent businesspersons by studying the economics of industries and companies as well as advanced
financial knowledge. During the factory visits, students will conduct practical research on the management strategies and
organizations of manufacturers, trading companies, financial institutions, and other enterprises to develop a hands-on approach.

Public Policy Course

Students will study theories (public economics, jurisprudence, etc.) related to the public sector (national and local governments), which is responsible for solving social problems such as poverty and environmental degradation, and public policies for solving
social issues (policies related to social security, labor, education, welfare, environment, taxation, etc.) to develop the skills
required for policy making and institutional design.

International Politics and Economics Cours

In this age where people, goods, and money move across national borders, students will learn about the issues facing each
country and region and the political and economic problems that arise between nations, and they will consider solutions to these issues through the lens of economics and political science. In the Overseas Practicum, students will conduct field research in
countries such as France, Germany, South Korea and Thailand to cultivate a realistic international perspective.

Regional Policy Course

This course emphasizes actual fieldwork on various issues facing Japanese municipalities based on the study of economics, public administration, and other social science theories. Students will develop the ability to analyze local communities from a wide
range of perspectives and proactively propose solutions to problems unique to each region.

Educational Programs

Data Science Program

This program offers classes in statistics, econometrics, programming, etc., and provides support for the acquisition of data
science-related qualifications. Three levels of certification (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) have been established
according to the number of course credits earned and the level of qualification attained in order to cultivate talent equipped with data science skills.

Global Human Resources Program

To produce students with the ability to work as global human resources, this program cultivates (1) language and
communication skills, (2) independence and enterprising spirit, and (3) multicultural and international understanding. Completion of the program is certified once students have taken courses related to English, problem-based learning, and multicultural and
international understanding and have obtained the required score on the TOEIC ®.
